GUIDED PATHWAYS: Redesigning the Student Experience with an Equity Lens to create a true Student-centered Experience

Call it a roadmap to attain student equity and success via student centered approaches. Equity in education and economic and social mobility is what Guided Pathways, at its core, is all about.

Guided Pathways is a framework driven by student equity that organizes all of the
educational programs and initiatives we now have in place to more cohesively support
student success from connection with the College to completion, while also identifying
gaps and barriers that hinder student progress. In short, Guided Pathways:

  • Integrates support services in ways that make it easier for students to get the help they need during every step of their community college experience
  • Provides structured program maps that promote better enrollment decisions and prepare students for future success
  • Improves equity in student outcomes by creating a student-centered educational model
  • Uses data and continuous inquiry and evaluation to continually assess and improve our programs and practices
