Online Success

For more in-depth information about what it's like to take online courses and how to succeed in them, check out the interactive Online Student Readiness Tutorials.

Are online classes right for you?

Parking hassles? Scheduling Problems? Consider taking classes online. However, online learning isn't for everyone. Online classes require self-discipline, technical skills, and more reading and writing than classes taken on campus. To find out if online classes are right for you, fill out the "Is Online Learning For Me?" questionnaire.

Apply and Enroll

Students can enroll in many fully online and hybrid (partially online) courses at Cuyamaca College.

To find online classes, check the "Online Classes Only" option when searching in WebAdvisor or view the online classes PDF. Be sure to check instructor notes in WebAdvisor to find out if the instructor has any special requirements for the course, such as a required on-campus class orientation or software requirements.

The steps for enrolling and registering for online classes are the same as those for students on campus. See the Apply & Enroll page to find out how.

Start Classes

Most online classes are accessed through Canvas. Courses are usually made available in Canvas on the first day of class. If you log in to Canvas, but don't see your class, the instructor hasn't made it available yet. You can email your instructor to find out when it will be available.

Get Help

If you need help using Canvas, you can call the Canvas Help Line at 1-844-592-2205 24/7.

If you can't log in to Canvas, please call the Cuyamaca College Help Desk at 619-660-4395 or email c-helpdesk@gcccd.edu. If you can't log in to WebAdvisor, call Admissions & Records at 619-660-4275.
