COVID-19 UPDATE FOR GI BILL® RECIPIENTS:
Will my benefits change since the campus is closed?
VA has worked with Congress to preserve GI Bill® benefits for impacted students during this difficult time. The new law allows for VA to continue to pay benefits regardless of the fact that the program has changed from resident training to online training. Also, students will continue to receive the same monthly housing allowance payments that they received for resident training until January 1, 2020.
For updates visit the GI Bill® Facebook Page or Veterans Benefits Twitter Page

How To Determine If A Course Is Resident Or Distance Learning For VA Certification
A course will be determined as a RESIDENT course for the Fall 2020 term if the course description contains a meeting day and time. Example: Section XXXX will meet 08/17/2020-12/14/2020 Tuesday 6:00-8:55PM, Distance Education/Online, Room WEB. Course descriptions for RESIDENT courses are worded many different ways, but they will always contain a meeting date and time.
A hybrid course will be determined as RESIDENT course for the Fall 2020 term if the course description contains a meeting day and time online with additional instructional hours/week via internet. Example: Section XXXX will meet TTH 1:00pm-3:10 online. Additional 4 instructional hours/week via Internet. Familiarity with computers, Internet required.
A course will be determined as a DISTANCE course for the Fall 2020 term if the course description DOES NOT contain a meeting day and time. Example: Section XXXX will meet 08/17/2020-12/14/2020 Internet 100%, Distance Education/Online, Room WEB.
