The Cuyamaca Veterans Center is currently closed due to COVID-19

The Cuyamaca Veterans Center is a communal space to help ease the transition of  student veterans into the academic setting. It is now a one-stop for all veteran services, including Resource Center, VA Education Benefit Certification, and Veteran Academic Counseling. The Veterans Center is staffed by a Veterans Coordinator, Veterans Services Specialist, Certifying Official and Counselor, along with VA work study students to ensure that all student veterans receive the adequate help, support, and resources to succeed academically. Veterans Center services include:

  • Computer Lab (free printing)
  • Scientific Calculators
  • Book Loan Program
  • Referral to on and off campus resources
  • Workshops
  • Plenty of study/relaxing space
  • Kitchenette area

Student Resources

Book Loan Program

Due to recent campus closures, the book loan program is suspended until further notice. If you are in need of a textbook for the Summer session, please email cuyamaca.veterans@gcccd.edu

If you currently are in possession of a Veterans Center textbook or graphing calculator, you are not required to return either according to your original contract. A Veterans Center representative will be in contact with you for further instruction. You will not be penalized for an inability to return your book/calculator by the date stated on your contract.

Student Brag sheet

Are you scholarship or job hunting? Use the Student Brag Sheet to develop an accurate and detailed resume, or as a tool to increase your chances of getting a great letter of recommendation.  Fill out the Student Bragsheet and update after every academic/personal achievement. 
For resume purposes: Fill out completely.  Use the information you have listed to build your resume.
For letter of recommendation purposes: Fill out completely. Submit a copy of the completed brag sheet to each person you have asked to write a letter of recommendation for you. Make sure to give at least two weeks notice before the due date.
