There might be several students that have the same name, such as John Smith. When that happens, the system will generate a random string of numbers after the name

Login Troubleshooting
There are some things that can go wrong when you try to access databases off campus:

  1. Are you currently registered for the current semester? For example, if you are not registered for summer classes, you will not have access to our databases during the summer.
  2. If you still get the invalid message, contact the Help Desk (619-660-4395). The Help Desk will check your student login record. Generally this can be fixed immediately, but may take 1-2 working days in some cases.
  3. If you can log into some databases, but not others it generally means the database is having a problem and you'll have to wait until the problem is resolved, generally by the next day.

The fines for reserve materials are $1.00 per hour or $3.00 a day per item (up to $100 maximum per item).
