Our Goal is Your Career

Cuyamaca Students

Career Education at Cuyamaca College offers courses for enrichment, certificate programs and Associate Degrees with an occupational emphasis. These Career Education (CE) programs offer the education and training necessary to lead individuals directly to employment, update the knowledge and skills of current workers, and/or lead to further academic growth at 4-year universities.

Note: Associate Degree programs require completion of at least 60 units of credit, which normally will take 4 semesters. Certificate programs, many of which lead to an Associate Degree, vary in the number of units required. Most can be completed in 2 - 4 semesters. Single skill enhancement courses are available each semester and vary in length from eight weeks to 16 weeks.

Our programs stay current with San Diego's regional labor market and industry trends. Bringing together local employers, faculty, staff and students, our curriculum is ever changing to meet the demands of an increasingly competitive job market. Each CTE program offers internships and work experiences to our students. We are proud of our partnerships with our local community based organizations, businesses, public agencies, and private companies.

Along with technical education, Cuyamaca College also offers career preparation such as resume writing, interviewing techniques and a variety of career seminars and events to increase your chances of landing a job and give you an advantage over other applicants. Our faculty, counselors and college staff work as a team to help you start or improve your career opportunities.
