Tania Jabour

Personal Profile:

  • I hold a B.A. in English from the University of San Diego and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Literature from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD).
  • I've been a member of the LGBTQIA+ community for over 20 years and am proud to support a more diverse and inclusive culture here at Cuyamaca. While we have made strides toward equality and representation, we still have a long way to go at the national, state and local levels. Students who need a safe space to ask questions, share stories, raise issues, report problems, or express themselves can always reach out to me--my door is always open!

  • I am in the Science and Engineering department. I teach Human Anatomy (Biology 140) and Human Physiology Lab (Biology 141L)
  • In the LGBTQIA+ community, I most identify with the L portion (Lesbian)
  • There are more than just allies in the staff at most colleges. There are those of us who have gone through the struggle of coming out and still have to come out every time we meet someone new or every time we teach a new class. I want anyone reading this to know they are not alone and if they ever want to talk just send me an email or find me on campus and I will be more than willing to arrange a time to share some of my experiences and listen to theirs.
