For over 25 years Steve Jacobs' company Nature Designs Landscaping, has been designing, installing and maintaining beautiful, water conscious landscapes all over San Diego County. Steve earned his landscape contractors license from the State of California in 1988 and expanded it to include pool and spa installation in 2006. He joined the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA) in 1993 to keep up with the changes in the industry and served as president of the local chapter in 2001. Steve is the California State Director of Education for 2010/2011.
Steve has been teaching the Landscape Contracting class at Cuyamaca College since 2003. Steve and all of his employees are committed to providing customers with excellence through ongoing education, seminars and industry certifications in areas including design, horticulture, irrigation technology, plant disease and pest control. Steve often holds seminars on topics such as water conscious planting, how to save money in your garden, and firescaping strategies.
Steve and his wife Ann have been married for 22 years and have two sons, Joshua and Aaron. He enjoys sailing, biking, camping and has a talent for working on vehicles. Steve grew up in Escondido, California, where he continues to reside.
