Magnum Opus

magnum-opus-logo.png
Magnum Opus was created to honor the hard work and dedication that students must uphold in order to succeed in higher education. Particularly this recognition ceremony will honor those students who come from disproportionately impacted backgrounds and have nevertheless excelled in their educational goals here at Cuyamaca College. During this ceremony, we honor students from seven different communities: Black, DREAMER, Latinx, Native American, LGBTQIA+, Women, Middle Eastern, Asian American / Pacific Islander and how despite numerous obstacles they have persevered and accomplished their dreams. At the ceremony, everyone will receive a cord to symbolize their monumental resolve and to show others that they too can achieve their dreams. Moreover, we will also be awarding graduation stoles, one for academic excellence and one for extraordinary leadership, to students in each of our seven communities.
