What Is DACA?

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) was established to protect immigrants from deportation who were brought to the United States as undocumented children. DACA gives eligible undocumented immigrants: protection from deportation, and a work permit. The program expires after two years, subject to renewal. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is still accepting DACA renewal applications for anyone who has previously had DACA.
