U.S.TRAVEL
If you plan to travel during the semester breaks or summertime, some places to stay at are listed below:

GREYHOUND BUS: Taking the Greyhound bus is one way to travel throughout the United States. For more information, go to www.greyhound.com or call (toll free) 1-800-231-2222.

TRAIN: Taking the train to your destination can be a pleasant and comfortable way to travel. The "All Aboard America" plan offered by Amtrak is a travel package you may want to consider. This plan offers reasonable priced fares for different regions of the U.S., within a 30-day period. For further information call Amtrak toll free: 1-800-872-7245.

AMERICAN YOUTH HOSTELS: American Youth Hostels has over 270 hostels scattered throughout the U.S. Hostels are low-cost overnight accommodations for travelers. Costs vary by location. Membership applications are available from the American Youth Hostels, 521 Market Street, San Diego, phone 619-525-1531.

YMCA'S and YWCA'S: These "no-frill" accommodations are popular, so it is advisable to call in advance to determine if rooms are available. For more information, contact the "Y's Way International," 356 West 34th Street, New York, NY 1001, phone (212) 760-5856.

VISIT PROGRAM: The VISIT Program can provide home stays with an American family in various cities in the U.S. Students must be recommended by their International Student Advisor. Applications can be obtained by contacting YMCA International Student Services, 236 East 47th Street, New York, NY 10017, phone (212) 563-4595.
