Insurance

The mandatory health fee, which supports the Health & Wellness Center programs, also provides for College Accident Insurance* coverage should a student be injured during a supervised on-campus or school-related activity. Report all accidents and injuries to the health office. Insurance forms and brochure are available at the health office. When filing the college accident insurance, you also need to fill out the District Injury Illness/Accident Report

Health Insurance Resources

Medi-Cal: Medi-Cal is California's Medicaid health care program. This program pays for a variety of medical services for children and adults with limited income and resources. For more information, please visit San Diego County Health & Human Services Agency Medi-Cal Program.

Covered California: Covered California is a free service that connects Californians with brand-name health insurance under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. It’s the only place where you can get financial help when you buy health insurance from well-known companies. That means when you apply, you may qualify for a discount on a health plan through Covered California, or get health insurance through the state’s Medi-Cal program. Insurance Enrollment Assistance: Certified Enrollment Specialists are available at all of Family Health Centers of San Diego clinic sites to assist patients with insurance enrollment in Medi-Cal or Covered California. 211 San Diego Enrollment Services: At 211, they identify, screen, and help people apply over the phone for benefit programs including CalFresh, a combination CalFresh and Medi-Cal together, and Covered California. For more information, please visit 211 San Diego Enrollment Services.
