The Vision Resource Center

GCCCD has advanced your employee learning by integrating with the Vision Resource Center (VRC).  You can now search, register for, and track on-campus learning opportunities within the VRC .  In addition, you can use the VRC to access a robust course catalog, including LinkedIn Learning (Lynda.com), @One and SkillSoft.  You may also want to join statewide community forums where you can discuss ideas, share strategies and resources. Access the User Manual for instructions on how to log into the VRC and navigate your pages.

2020-21 Academic Year & Timeline

Deadlines to Complete Professional Development Obligation

Full-Time Faculty - July 1, 2019 - April 23, 2021
Part-Time Faculty

  • Fall 2020, July 1 - November 6, 2020
  • Spring 2021, January 27 - April 23, 2021

Faculty may carry over hours in the same academic year, fall to spring.

Cuyamaca College has designated five days preceding the Fall and Spring semesters as Professional Development (PD) days (Flex Days). These two PD weeks include many learning opportunities and are the major vehicle for faculty participation in Professional Development. Faculty are encouraged to present workshops for double credit.

Faculty are required to complete PD hours. These are paid hours, and must be included on your Vision Resource Center transcript by the above deadlines or pay will be docked. See Faculty PD Obligation for details.

Faculty can also earn PD credit by completing Self-Designed External Training.
