Apply for Financial Aid

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

You must complete and submit the FAFSA to apply for financial aid at Cuyamaca College.

Create a New FSA ID first!

An FSA ID gives you access to Federal Student Aid's online systems and can serve as your legal signature on the FAFSA.  (If you currently have a Federal PIN but have not created and new FSA ID, you can use your PIN number and link it to your new FSA ID). Once you have created a FSA ID you can then complete a FAFSA application at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

Based on your FAFSA information you may be required to turn in additional paperwork to the Financial Aid Office. Below are examples of the paperwork you may be required to turn in, but not limited to:

If you are unsure of the form(s) you need to fill out, you can either visit our office or go online to Web Advisor to check the application status of your file once our office has received your FAFSA application (typically 5-7 business days from the date you submitted your application).

If you need assistance from the Financial Aid Office with completing your FAFSA application please attend a workshop on campus.

California Dream Act Application

The California Dream Act Application allows students enrolled in eligible California Colleges to apply for state financial aid. This application is unrelated to the federal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

Completion of the Dream Act application is required to determine eligibility for California student financial aid for AB540 eligible students only. Your application will be processed by the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC).

The Dream Act Application is not an application for federal financial aid. Students who are eligible to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), must use that application to maximize their opportunity to receive student financial aid. The FAFSA application is online at www.fafsa.gov.

DO NOT complete the Dream Act application if you are eligible to complete the FAFSA.
